Played this insane sport called rugby at UW during the 1967/1968 seasons. After graduation in 1968, served in the US Air Force for 3 1/2 years finishing up at McChord AFB near Tacoma in June 1972. While stationed at McChord, I commuted to Seattle to play for the newly formed Old Puget Sound Beach rugby club which consisted mostly of former UW players. Played on and off for OPSB until 1983. Loved the commraderie and really miss those third halves! Also, loved the spring trips to Monterey, especially after a wet, cold winter in Seattle!
